Author: Franck WOLFF (All RIAForge projects by this author) Description:
Granite Data Services (GDS) is a free, open source (LGPL'd), alternative to Adobe® LiveCycle® (Flex™ 2+) Data Services for J2EE application servers.
The primary goal of this project is to provide a framework for Flex 2+/EJB3/Seam/Spring/Guice/Pojo application development with full AMF3/RemoteObject benefits. Since 1.0 version, GDS also provides a data push feature based on a Comet-like implementation with AMF3 data polling over HTTP (producer/consumer). GDS comes with powerful ActionScript3 code generation tools (Ant task and Eclipse builder) that greatly accelerates Flex development. See more on http://www.graniteds.org (download, documentation and live demo).
Requirements:
JDK 5+, Flex 2+ SDK and Flex Ant Tasks (or Flex Builder 2+), JBoss 4+ or Tomcat 5+ (6+ for data push features).
